“Finalmente – è stato il commento del presidente del CIAT Sperotto – i Comuni hanno compreso l’importanza di gestire insieme e in modo imprenditoriale un servizio fondamentale come quello dei rifiuti, senza delegarlo a terzi. E’ un buon segnale in tempi di disgregazione ed un metodo che va nella direzione del federalismo che è anche assunzione massima di responsabilità da parte delle amministrazioni del territorio. La nuova società è stata valutata 4 milioni e 200 mila euro, cifra di cui per il 51% si è fatto carico il CIAT. Lo farà attingendo alle risorse accumulate in questi ultimi 10 anni grazie alla gestione corretta di Valore Ambiente e alla sua stessa attività, stringente sotto gli aspetti dei controlli e delle nuove tecnologie, che hanno consentito di prolungare di un anno l’attività di Grumolo con risorse attive per i Comuni pari a 3 milioni di euro. Già stamani abbiamo consegnato alla Provincia e all’Ato la delibera di adesione alla nuova società e la richiesta di autorizzazione per riaprire Grumolo. Confidiamo in una risposta immediata che ci permetta di conferire da subito i rifiuti e procedere ai lavori per l’ampliamento dell’impianto”.
“ Dalla primavera del 2008 – ha aggiunto l’assessore all’ambiente Dalla Pozza – , cioè da quando si è insediata l’amministrazione Variati, il Comune di Vicenza ha seguito in modo pressante questa vicenda, riuscendo via via a superare la diffidenza che gli altri Comuni avevano verso il capoluogo, forse per una mancata abitudine al confronto.
